The Cubs actually are showing signs of life
Darwin Barney hit a two out, two strike, two run home run in the bottom of the 9th to tie the game at 4. They are currently in the 11th inning still tied. The Cubs were down to their last strike twice. David DeJesus singled to keep the inning alive before Barney hit his clutch HR. I don’t pull for the Cubs very often, but every game they can take from the Cards will be big for the Brewers who start a huge 4-game series at the Nationals. Washington just clinched their spot in the playoffs yesterday, but I’m sure they aren’t just going to roll over. Tomorrow Gio Gonzalez goes for his 20th win of the year.
Edit: Cubs just won on a David DeJesus single in the bottom of the 11th. The Brewers are 2 games back for now. A win tonight will pull them to 1 1/2 games back.
