Brewers shut out the Mets to stay 2.5 games back
The Cardinals pulled out the win against the Dodgers and the Brewers won so they stay 2.5 games back, which would have been the same outcome if the Dodgers won. The Cubs made a nice comeback on the Pirates to drop them 1/2 game back from the Brewers and 3 games out. Now it is just the Cardinals and the Dodgers in between the Brewers and a spot in the playoffs. They aren’t there yet and still need some help, but the less teams in between them and that spot the better their chance.
