Closer, but not good enough
Once again a glance at the box score makes it hard to figure the final score.
GOOD:
The Crew once again outhit the Yankees (8-6).

Not a great start
Just looking at the box score, it is hard to see how the score was that lopsided. Anyways, I didn’t get to see the game, but here is the good bad anyway.
GOOD:
The Brewers actually had more hits than the Yankees (12-10).
Every starter had at least one hit, except Yuniesky Betancourt (but he had a sacrifice fly).

Get out the brooms!
Narveson pitched a very solid game as the Brewers get a much needed sweep of the Minnesota Twins. They increase their lead to 3 games over St. Louis and 4 games over the Pirates and Reds.
GOOD:
Chris Narveson showed once again why he can be considered one of the top 5th starters in the majors. He pitched 6.2 giving up only two runs on 5 hits and 2 walks.

Looking at the Twins lineup hurts my eyes
Even though they just went up 1-0 I’m glad I’m not a Twins fan right now. In today’s lineup they have 6 guys batting .250 or less. Only Michael Cuddyer (.292), Ben Revere (.270), and Alexi Casilla (.255) are over .250. Makes having McGehee and Betancourt in the lineup not look so bad.

Another big win vs. the Twins
Brewers take the first two from the short-handed Minnesota Twins.
GOOD:
Pretty much everything, not many mistakes in this game.
Yovani Gallardo started a bit slow, allowing a run, three walks, and a hit in the first two innings, but he recovered nicely. He went 7 innings only giving up the one run. He also added a hit that sent Carlos Gomez from 1st the 3rd with one out.

Not a great Miller Park season debut for me
A good time was had, but my buddy Shawn experienced a loss on his birthday for the first time. We had decent seats that we had to buy from a guy in the lot because the game was sold out except for some nosebleed seats. Nobody got arrested and we made it back home safe so the day was a success.

Shaun Marcum and Marco Estrada combined to give up 3 runs in 6 innings with 6 K’s....

Big win for the Crew tonight, Zack Greinke was dealing.
GOOD:
Zack Greinke pitched very well, striking out 10 in 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits and zero walks.
Jonathon Lucroy had three hits, including two infield singles. And he got a pie in the face during the postgame interview courtesy of LaTroy Hawkins, which is always fun.

Ron Roenicke's bullpen handling skills
I am starting to wonder if Roenicke has any clue how to run a bullpen. First piece of evidence, Kameron (B)Loe. He has pitched in 38(!) of the Brewers 74 games, yet he has one of the highest ERAs and most losses (6). Roenicke’s argument is that Loe is a sinkerballer and he needs to work to keep the sink.
